Aleister Crowleys Occult House of Devils | Boleskine Manor | Scotland United Kingdom | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | England | BoiCGH

I'm pretty certain Aleister Crowley needs no introduction, the British occultist, author and magician, was world renowned as one of the most sinister and evil men in history.

Ironically, he was the son of a devout Christian couple, born in Leamington Spa, England, in 1875.

Many people who have researched Aleister Crowley claim they fell seriously ill and their lives took a downward spiral as a result, but here at Boise City Ghost Hunters, if you are running from it, we will run even faster towards it, because we want the facts.

Let's take a look at the worlds darkest sorcerer, and the deeply disturbing paranormal events which surrounded him.

Crowley lived in Boleskine Manor, (pronounced Taigh Both Fhleisginn in Scottish Gaelic) located up in the misty highlands of Loch Ness, Scotland, England. This Georgian property was originally built in the 1700s and used as a hunting lodge. Crowley lived here from 1899 until 1913.

Originally the land was owned by the Fraser family, however the property caught Crowleys attention and he described the eerily secluded location, with its own cemetery and underground tunnel system, as 'perfect for sacred magic ceremonies'.

Aleister would tell his friends how he planned to 'invoke his guardian angels' but that it required six months planning involving abstinence from alcohol and sexual activity which came as a surprise as he was known as somewhat of a 'sexual athlete' and showman. However, Crowley stuck to his plan and endured the preparation period.

Alarmingly it is said that he did not summon angels, but conjured horrific entities and demons, soon realising he was no longer in control as he struggled to banish them back to hell.

These entities are said to torment anyone who sets foot on the property. People who enter have been known to later murder people in cold blood, commit suicide, die in tragic circumstances or become deeply psychologically disturbed as a result.

It was believed that Crowley was answerable to his 'Master' who ran a metaphysics organisation from Paris in France. Crowley was ordered to follow their strict ritual orders. They instructed him to summon twelve kings of hell.

Could this activity have caused the many reported unexplained fires reported here?

He set about filling the home with mirrors (known to attract spirits) and dark artefacts in support of such processions and conducted hundreds of black magic rituals here and even named himself Lord Boleskine.

It is said that 'all hell literally broke loose' at this manor, with demonic entities being unleashed, and malevolent forces running rampant glorying in their freedoms via the constantly opened gateways Crowley unlocked.

Aleister was known to be fascinated with mind altering drugs and sex magic which he practised with both male and female partners, on his never ending quest for spiritual enlightenment.

Crowley was known for enjoying 'satanic panic' and revelled in dark euphoria.

Oxford University Professor William Whyte described Crowley as 'The Great 666 Beast who created his own religious order and even created his own unique set of tarot cards which are still used today with his mantra being DO WHAT THOU WILT'.

In the 1970s metal band Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page, purchased the home. However, the property fell victim to countless fires and is now property of The Boleskine Foundation who are planning restorations.

Aleister Crowley died in the city of Hastings in 1947 leaving an eternally evil legacy behind. He wrote several books, most popular works being his Book of Thoth, Book of Lies and Book of Magick. Here are some his quotes:

I SLEPT WITH FAITH AND FOUND A CORPSE ON MY ARM, I DRANK AND DANCED WITH HER ALL NIGHT YET FOUND HER TO BE A VIRGIN IN THE MORNING

I CAN IMAGINE MYSELF ON MY DEATH BED, SPENT UTTERLY WITH LUST TO TOUCH THE NEXT WORKD, LIKE A BOY ASKING FOR HIS FIRST KISS FROM A WOMAN

MY PLAN IS TO THROW OFF EVERY KIND OF VIRTUE I HAVE SO THAT I TRIUMPH EVEN WHEN I FALL

SCIENCE IS ALWAYS DISCOVERING ODD SCRAPS OF MAGICAL WISDOM AND MAKING A TREMENDOUS FUSS ABOUT ITS CLEVERNESS

FALSEHOOD IS INVARIABLY THE CHILD OF FEAR IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER

Of all the properties we have researched, honestly this is one i'd be happy to pass on.

What do you think? Could this home be forever cursed?
