Did you know that Idaho boasts the tallest known living Christmas tree in America? The tree is situated at Coeur D'Alene at a whopping 162 feet tall and 40,000 twinkling lights!

The Cadger family from Meridian present a fun festive light show known as 'Christmas Dubstep' each year from their own home and have even been featured on local TV stations.

Idaho took part in a massive festive gift exchange scheme back in 2005, the largest scale Secret Santa ever, and received $20,000. They subsequently renamed the town 'Santa' Idaho.

Have you ever attended a 'Tuba Christmas'? The State Capital Building holds this free enchanting musical event every year! Tuba players ignite into action performing enchanting melodies. The susbstantial size of the large marble rooms is a great advantage acoustically speaking.

Did you know Idaho has its very own version of the Lochness sea monster? Folklore suggests many have spotted 'Sharlie' the sea serpent also known as 'the Dragon of Payette Lake'. Keep your eyes peeled as we shall be posting an article later today all about Sharlie!

Esteemed writer Ernest Hemingway visited Idaho back in 1939 to work on his Sun Valley book 'For Whom The Bell Tolls'. Hemingway chose the location as he enjoyed skiing and outdoor activities so much. He loved the place so much that he stayed and is buried there today!

One of the largest diamonds ever discovered was found right here in Idaho and was 20 carats!

There is a road in Idaho called 'Chicken Dinner Road'. Laura Lamb invited the then Idahoan Governor Benn Ross to one of her tasty culinary and much praised chicken dinners. They discussed repairing a local road which was badly damaged and implemented a plan to repair the road. Later the road was aptly known as the Chicken Dinner Road.

Did you know that 85% of all trout are sourced at Hagerman Valley in Twin Falls!
