Angels And Ghosts All Aboard | The USS Alabama | Battleship Memorial Park | Mobile Alabama | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The USS Alabama (BB-60) is stationed at Mobile, Alabama, and runs as a Museum at Battleship Memorial Park today. Let's take a look at her fascinating history.

The ship was constructed in 1940 and served honorably during World War II.

She was the sixth ship made by the United States Navy, measuring over 680ft long, and is known as 'Lucky A'.

Lucky A was launched in 1942 and moored at Mobile Bay in 1965.

During her construction, two men were killed whilst welding at the Norfolk Shipyard.

Eight further lives were lost during friendly fire, these bodies were deemed as  'unrecognisable' on the their death certificates.

This naval vessel is reportedly haunted by those spirits of the past and visitors often describe hearing hatches slamming violently shut, often very narrowly and dangerously missing the fingers of those climbing through.

Disembodied shoutings are audibly heard below deck accompanied by full spectrum apparitions of soldiers dressed in their smart military uniform.

It is speculated there were hundreds of deaths on board, perhaps this would explain the ghostly footsteps heard patrolling the upper deck once darkness falls.

There is a tale of a child who became lost whilst exploring the ship.

The child later explained how a mysterious lady had helped her find her parents.

Astonishingly, that mysterious helper was never ever traced.

Many believe she was an angel in disguise coming to aid the child. Others believe it was an intelligent haunting, a spirit or ghost, readily interacting with the child in attempts to assist.

What do you think?

Angel or ghost?

I would love to hear your comments as this article covers two of my favorite topics, angels and ghosts.

Have you ever witnessed what you perceived to be an angel? Or a ghost? Or something else?
