Demonic Goatman Bridge | Denton Texas | Paranormal | Haunted | Historical | America | BoiCGH

Built in 1884, the Old Alton Bridge, also known as 'The Goatman Bridge' was erected to serve as a connector between the towns of Alton and Denton, Texas. The bridge now serves strictly as a pedestrian crossing and no longer withstands heavy vehicles.

Local folklore suggests that this bridge serves for something much more sinister than a crossing, but rather a gateway to hell. There have been reports of people seeing an apparition of a demon which presents itself as half goat half demon with eyes like fire and menacing horns.

Many satanic rituals were held on the bridge and surrounding woods and it is said that these ceremonies opened a portal to a darker realm.

Visitors even once discovered a circle of animal bone remains here with the word GOATMAN etched in the flooring. It is said if you sit in the centre of the bridge and knock three times that demons will be conjured.

One man claims seeing his friend be physically dragged on the bridge by an invisible force, terrified the two fled. Many have been rumoured to have disappeared into the forests here, never to be seen again.

Some say an old African American goat farmer was once hung here in a nearby clearing and that it is his spirit which haunts the bridge seeking his revenge.

We are not sure just know brave you are feeling but if growling voices in the dark don't scare you, go right ahead and take a look the Old Alton Bridge.
