It takes a lot to compete with Texas when it comes to tales of paranormal phenomenon.

Today we look at the haunted halls of El Paso High School. Located at the foothills of the Franklin mountains, this was the very first school in the El Paso district. Stunning Romanesque architecture has been wonderfully preserved with the attached renowned Jones Stadium, named after school President R. S. Jones with a seating capacity of over 1,000.

This sports stadium was one of the first major concrete construction in the United States and has been likened to a Roman colosseum so fine is the construction.

The school is allegedly haunted by many entities with chilling disembodied footsteps, otherworldly voices and spontaneous unbearable 'fingernails on chalkboard' sounds being just another day at school.

Strange mists and what can only be described as ectoplasm which is seen manifesting on walls.

ECTOPLASM (Greek meaning OUTSIDE)

In 1894 Physical Researcher, Charles Richet, patented the word Ectoplasm.

Ectoplasm is a viscous clear cell mass cytoplasm known to exude from solid structures such as walls. Many believe this material to be resultant as the supernatural energy exteriorises as spirit attempts manifestation.

In 1985 a whole class reported an unexplained little girl on their Graduation class photograph. The little girl appeared out of place, somehow distorted, blurred. Faculty and student alike have stated they believed this entity to be a ghost.

Perhaps even more curious is the fact that the little girl did not appear on camera negatives, but only appeared ‘after’ the films were developed.

Have you ever seen an unaccounted for person or figure on family photographs? Because if you have you know already that I want to hear about it.

Many suggested this could be the spirit of a little girl who fell from a balcony here many years ago. Others say she died during a prank that went horribly wrong.

Recently there were reports of creepy shadow figures passing by in mirrors, as if another realm was running in parallel, only detectable via reflections.

But perhaps the most disturbing phenomena is the invisible force which reaches under bathroom stalls and grasps ankles.

How can one react to something one cannot see?
