Foxdenton Hall located in Chadderton Village, England, is reportedly haunted by multiple entities.

Elizabeth Radcliffe married her cousin Robert Radcliffe early 1400s and Foxdenton Hall based in Chadderton, Manchester, was their very first home. The property has a reputation of unexplained ghostly happenings and poltergeist activity.

In 1620, William Radcliffe rebuilt the family home but sadly him and his son Robert were both killed, fighting for their country, in the Battle of Edgehill in 1642.

The property saw many turbulent events during the difficult years of the Civil Wars. It is rumoured that the property houses a secret underground escape tunnel system.

Overnight ghost hunting events have revealed some starling activity. Some folk have been so terrified by their experiences in the cellar, for example things have moved on their own, shuffling noises heard and even apparition sightings, that they swore never to return. 

Michael Lawson has written a fascinating book called 'The History and Heritage of Chadderton' and hosted a series of informative lectures here at the hall.
