Multiple Ghost Sightings at Chicago Science and Industry Museum | Chicago Illinois | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) is located at Jackson Park region, Chicago Illinois. This building dates back to 1893 being first established by renowned philanthropist Julius Rosenwald and is today honoured for its efforts in 'inspiring the next generation of innovators'.

However, innovation is not the only thing on the agenda here. The museum is believed to be actively haunted by multiple spirits. Clarence Darrow was most highly acclaimed lawyer of the 20th century, there is a bridge erected just outside the museum in his honour.

Darrow, in life, promised that if there was such thing as ghosts and hauntings, that he swore he would return here after death. Supposedly Clarence was a man of his word, as many have come face to face with his full body apparition which is said to residually haunt his memorial bridge.

Another spirit frequently sighted here is that of a little blonde haired girl who tragically fell from a stairwell here whilst trying to slide down the banisters.

A previous security guard who worked here gave regular tours where he would inform visitors of the haunted history. He claims that one night a ghostly pale faced man approached him and placed a note in his hand. He opened the note which read 'THEY TOLD US NEVER TO COME HERE" and with that the figure disappeared into thin air.

The security guard also stated that he often would hear unexplained voices, crying and running footsteps when he was completely alone.

Some staff confess that they have been warned by higher authorities to NEVER talk about the hauntings here. Could the eery note be somehow linked to this fact?

Visitors have astonishingly reported seeing ghosts of German soldiers on board the U505 WWII submarine exhibited here. Others have seen the apparition of legs, and feet, walking through the lower decks.

Paranormal teams claim they recorded an EVP (Electro Voice Phenomena) shouting "2100 hours!" they later discovered that 2100 was the exact moment of the Commanding Officers death onboard in 1943. Also noted were unusually high EMF readings and unexplained bangings.

Could this be the spirit of the Commanding officer residually patrolling his vessel today?

Lastly, is the sighting of a spirit of H. H. Holmes, Chicagos most notorious serial killer, (pictured below), wearing his trademark bowler hat, full moustache, who wonders the 'Main Street' Exhibition area. This exhibit recreates a turn of the century street, exactly the sort of street he would have walked in life.

Many staff describe the sightings as 'terrifying' as they witnessed his black brogues walking in slow motion, as if searching for his next victim, before disappearing into thin air.

Are you brave enough to come here?

There are numerous activities to enjoy here from interactive hubs, a full size replica coal mine, model railroads, a command module of Apollo 8 and the first diesel powered passenger train, the Pioneer Zephyr and Marvel Hero Universe.

The museum will open to the public on March 7th with implemented Covid19 protocols. Why not pay them a visit and be sure to let us know in the comment section below if you experience anything 'out of this world'.
