We hope you have been enjoying our historical trip down Halloween lane these last few weeks.

Let us know your favorite era in the comment section below.

Tonight we finish off at the millennium.

What did we see on those Halloweens during the 2000s?

Firstly, people did not hold back on that glitter!

It really was mixed bag of dress up, we saw more Egyptian themed costumes, Cleopatra, mermaids, and a surge in pop culture costume, with many donning gothic and favorite band group attire.

Kaia Gerber attended a party as her favorite super rockstar Joan Jett, Cindy Crawford went as Blondie, her husband Randy Gerber went as David Bowie and their son Presley as a slick and spooky 80s punk rocker.

If you wanted to know what the next big dress up hit was going to be, it was hugely swayed by pop culture and breakout tv series releases for example, todays equivalent would be  Stranger Things and Zendayas hair and make up in ‘Euphoria’. Very often costumes followed in current trends and cultures.

The mid 2000s saw parties bursting with seemingly more ‘adult’ versions on regular traditional costumes. Elvira seemed to be everywhere and many enquired ‘how did Halloween become so sexy?’

My first thought was, heck maybe Interview With The Vampire (1994) got it all started. But the reason was because that is exactly what society demanded, a more tempting Dracula, a flirtatious kind of Witch. People wanted variations on everything, characters, foods, décor, you name it, they wanted something for everyone.

And now the best part.

Here are some truly memorable movie releases of the 2000s which are still Halloween keepers today.
