The Palisades Center in is a prominent shopping mall located in West Nyak, New York.

This is the eighth largest mall in the United States.

This location is cloaked in tales of the macabre and a wealth of ghost stories.

It is speculate there have been numerous suicides, and unsolved murders, on this land long before it was even proposed as a shopping mall.

Historically, in 1849, the Mountmore Cemetery was established near future shopping grounds and held the of bodies of both native American and African veterans who had fallen during American battle.

Construction of the mall was completed in 1997 featuring stunning glass mosaics, reputable eateries and over 200 stores. 

Sadly, soon after, a landfill was erected near the cemetery filled with garbage and incinerator ash. Thankfully, the Mountmore Cemetery Association incorporated stepped in, worked tirelessly, and assumed management and, control, of that landfill.

The cemetery survived and remains in peace there today, still visible from various viewing points from the mall.

Beneath the mall lies the bones of Old Mom, a circus elephant who arrived in the United States, from Germany, during 1930. Old Moms bones were carelessly tossed into the landfill.

Many frequenting the property have described hearing her ghostly phantom trumpet call and angry stomping sounds.

The mall is host to many supernatural claims and, to date, mall goers continue to report a whole array of unexplainable happenings.

Staff who have stayed late have told how they have actively chased who they suspected as people, who may have sneaked back into the mall after closing time, and watched in amazement as those figures disintegrate as mists as they abscond, vanishing entirely.

Also encountered are locked doors seen opening, dark black masses seen hurriedly running past windows and spectral figures seemingly wandering about the mall as if lost or confused.

Are these spirits of old simply seeking a final resting place today?
