How Would You React Eye To Eye With An Apparition? | The Belle Meade Historic Site And Winery | Nashville, Tennessee | Paranormal | Historic | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

A very good morning to our readers.

I am truly fascinated with the various ways in which folks react to paranormal situations.

How would you react if you witnessed an apparition?

Have you ever encountered anything supernatural?

Share your thoughts with me in the comment section at the end of this article, I would like to hear from you.

Belle Meade Historic Site And Winery is a prominent Greek style revival plantation estate, located just outside of Belle Meade in Nashville Tennessee, which is also referred to as ‘the Queen of Tennessee Plantation’.

This location is steeped in intrigue, history, and a wealth of supernatural tales.

Let’s take a look.

During the early 1700s, David Dunholme was granted a land grant, under North Carolina authority. He constructed a log cabin home and named it Belle Meade. The home was later purchased by John Harding.

Harding utilized slaves to cultivate the land and tend to livestock. He acquired a further 5,000 acres and expanded the site, implementing red brick and Greek revival architectural aspects.

Nashville had acted as Federal headquarters yet, during 1862, Union forces removed that privilege. The Battle of Nashville broke out in December 1864 which witnessed active troops opening gunfire right along the frontal perimeter lawns of the plantation. The permanent bullet holes remain visible along the entrance columns today.

An opportunity arose for the enslaved to flee. Yet 72 out of the 136 individuals who were held here, chose to remain and work under a guaranteed wage from Harding.

In 1906 Belle Meade Land Company took ownership of the estate after the death of Mr. Harding. The mansion has since been preserved by various private ownership families finally settling in the capable care of The Tennessee Association For Preservation.

The site is open to the public and includes ten outbuildings, a range of educational resources, iconic winery and Dunholme log cabin and various guided touring options.

Chillingly, this location is speculated as being haunted by those formerly enslaved here.

Phenomena encountered here has included creepy shapeless masses floating about the rooms, extreme temperature fluctuation and inexplicable electrical malfunction.

A man known as Robert Green, who was just a little boy when Harding purchased him as a slave is known to reside in spirit here. Robert spent his whole life tending to this location and was buried here. Roberts apparition has been known to readily manifest, fascinatingly, he flashes in and out of vision appearing at many different ages, and eras, kind of like a residual photographic timeline of his life.

The spirit of a little brunette haired girl has been seen by tour goers. This child specter will look you in the eye before eventually fading into thin air.

Are you ready for that?
