Helpful Entities And Murderous Flashbacks At The Elsinore Theater | Salem, Oregon | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | Oregon | America | BoiCGH

The Elsinore Theater in Salem, Oregon, is a 1290 seat historic theater known as the largest and most prestigious theater from Portland to San Francisco.

The theater was designed by Lawrence And Holford, architects who specialized in Tudor Gothic builds. The theater was intended to replicate the style of the Elsinore City castle from William Shakespeares ‘Hamlet’.

The Elsinore was first opened in 1926, under the management of George Guthrie, as a movie house presenting classic silent films. The venue was also owned by Fox West Coast and later by Warner Bros who ran the business until 1951.

In 1980 the theater was set to be demolished due to structural decline. However, the Salem Historical Committee established a Save The Elsinore Campaign and worked tirelessly to raise funds, restore and preserve the theater.

The Elsinore is known far and wide for its active hauntings.

From cold chills felt on stage, to having invisible pebbles thrown at the living, the spirits at the theater continue to enjoy the crowds.

Tragically, during the 1950s, several employees working on elevated catwalks, fell to their deaths here, as well as the daughter of an employee who was playing on a balcony.

The spirit of a young girl has been seen playing amidst the aisles by visitors today, followed by an innocent little giggle. Could this be the same little girl who fell from the balcony?

The spirit of George Guthrie has been seen in projection booth area. When staff swiftly go to investigate, and flick the lights on, some have watched in awe as the apparition of George gives a nod of appreciation before fading into nothing.

However, if George dislikes a stage performance, he will actively make actors feel intentionally uncomfortable. Many actors have indeed described feeling unwell, not themselves, negatively affected.

Is this Georges way of demonstrating his disapproval?

It is speculated that a little boy was once murdered in the mens rest rooms. Male visitors today have described how the atmosphere will suddenly alter in the rest rooms, with some seeing visual, disturbing, residual imprints of that bloody murder scene playing out in front of their eyes like a horrific flashback in time.

One lady told how she tripped on the stairwell upon exiting the theater, only to be stopped mid descent, and hoisted back up to a standing position, by an invisible force.

Was this lady helped by supernatural entities?

Just know that some things you see at the Elsinore may not always be theatrics.

What do you think?

Have you ever been physically affected by an invisible force? If so, I would like to hear from you.
