Lying eerily amongst the flowers at Salt Lake Cemetery is a headstone which reads,

(LILLY E GRAY

June 6th 1881- Nov 14 1958

VICTIM OF THE BEAST 666)

The mystery of Lilly Gray has endured for over sixty years.

There are many theories surrounding this headstone. Why such a sinister inscription? Many speculated that her husband was mentally unstable and accused her of being possessed. But more disturbing are the rumours that Lilly was friends with none other than occultist Aleister Crowley.

It is suggested that Lilly became aquainted with Aleister, eventually joining his satanic cult, right here in Salt Lake City, where they would perform very real and dangerous rituals, some of which would actually usher demons in from the darker realms.

Could 'the Beast' have been referring to Aleister Crowley? We know this was his preferred title.

Could these dark spirits have somehow orchestrated Lillys mysterious death? We know that there is a very real danger of spirit attachment when enticing entities to supernaturally cross over realms. 

Could these dark **Thelema Magick ceremonies have conjured up attaching spirits which took over Lillys life resulting her tragic demise?
