Little Ghost Boy Rolls Ball During Paranormal Investigation | The Sterling Opera House | Derby, Connecticut | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Sterling Opera House in Derby, Connecticut, opened in April 1889 and originally derived its name from renowned piano maker Charles Sterling.

The stage has hosted some truly notable names including Iconic American Aviation Pilot Amelia Earheart, actor Lionel Barrymore and magician Harry Houdini.

The theater hosted its final show in 1935 after which the building went on to be utilized as a City Hall and later as a Police Station.

In 1968 the opera house was honored with a place on the National Register of Historic Places.

Chillingly, longstanding local legends claim the building is haunted by the restless spirits of its past.

Phenomena has included mysterious mists, floating orbs, apparitions of small children playing about the auditorium and the apparition of a female, in Victorian era dress, accompanied by a small child.

Several informal investigations of the property have yielded extremely high EMF (electromagnetic field levels) and crystal clear EVP (electronic voice phenomena) recordings.

The most fascinating phenomena is that of a little boy, known fondly as Andy, who has been known to interact with paranormal investigators by way of rolling a ball.

The theater still stands today yet is no longer in operation.

However, there are various scheduled tours and events, particularly around the Halloween season.
