New Mexico has some truly fascinating historical sites.

Chaco Canyon, in Nageezi, is rumored as being the most mysterious location in New Mexico.

Historically, archeological evidence of human life, and death, date back to 10,000bc when it was home to the ancestral Puebloans who were also known as the Anasazi people.

Paranormal activity here usually peaks at night and those who have been brave enough to venture out here have described hearing audible tribal chants carried in the wind and startling apparitions of fierce native American warriors.

Many have experienced physical confrontations with spectral floating hands which have left visible scratches on unsuspecting victims.

Hikers have described encountering the Sipapu, an ancient sacred hole, speculated as being a portal to the supernatural.

The most famous legend here is that of the Blue Man. At night a blue man can be seen eerily levitating from the Sipapu, dripping in water, glowing in the moonlight.

With the overwhelming, and increasing, number of unexplained sightings at this canyon, this certainly is one of New Mexicos most mysterious locations.
