Paranormal Philosophy | The Mystery Of Ancient Alignments | Ley Lines And The Paranormal | Historical | Community | Discussion | BoiCGH

Ley lines and the paranormal, is there a link?

It has long been speculated that land ley lines are conducive to paranormal phenomena.

Ley lines certainly are out there in public consciousness, and are certainly an intriguing topic.

Yet many remain unsure of what exactly are ley lines, and how are they associated with the paranormal?

Let's talk about that right here.

Ley lines are latitudinal and longitudinal lines which criss cross all over the earth.

Archeologists have stated that ley lines are 'natural alignments in landscapes, very often between notable monuments' probably the most recognisable site being Stonehenge in England, although ley lines can run between wells, barrows and valleys.

It is believed these ley lines were initially created as navigational and directional markers between towns and cities and as markers for places of historical significance.

Many scholars on the topic are of the opinion that ley lines are the actual 'ruins of timeless historic wonders such as the Egyptian pyramids' and that there are mysteries linked to ley lines that we may never  discover in this lifetime.

It has been speculated that all of earths ley lines are joined forming a perfectly aligned shape known as The Magic Galactic Hexagon, pinpointing every significantly sacred location on earth.

The Magic Hexagon is believed to be what we know today as the Flower Of Life and Sacred Geometry symbols.

Very often ley lines are assumed to have some sort of spiritual significance involving magnetic energy, healing and enlightenment.

Ireland is home to many ley lines and communities firmly believe them linked to the supernatural and archaic beings specifically Archangel Michael and even enchantments such as fairies.

One such Irish location is Leap Castle, please enjoy our haunted article on the castle linked right here below.

Great Britain is known to host a whole myriad of ley lines and, in 1921, the phrase 'ley lines' was coined by an amateur archeologist named Alfred Watkins.

Watkins enthusiastically endeavoured to identify natural navigational trackways within British landscapes.

Watkins explored the vast expanse of the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, United Kingdom, and wrote two books on his thesis and findings.

The books are 'Early British Trackways' and also 'The Old Straight Path' - Alfred Watkins.

Another famous continental ley line is located at St Michaels, United Kingdom, which forms the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle defining three of Britains most sacred sites which are The Hurlers, Glastonbury Tor and Avebury. This has been called the most famous ley line in the world due to the sheer scope it covers.

The United States has a tremendous amount of ley lines including Alaska.

Here are some renowned sacred sites said to be linked to American ley lines:

Montana Megaliths - Montana

Big Horn Medicine Wheel - New York

Sedona - Arizona

Serpent Mount - Ohio

Mount Shashta - California

Mount Denali - Arkansas

Tocobaga Indian Mound - Florida

Identifying ley lines can be difficult yet many believe them to be all around us.

Paranormal enthusiasts will often look into researching ley lines as they are certainly believed to attract spiritual energies.

Anthropological opinion states that ley lines were indeed initially used as geographical pointers.

Of course there is to date no provable or measurable evidence to suggest that ley lines hold any supernatural qualities. However the constant, and overly stoic dismissal, of a link between ley lines and the paranormal by some experts has actually had a reverse effect and raising curiosity and suspicion that there certainly could be a link which may be being withheld from public knowledge.

Ley Lines are often characterized as a form of pseudoscience, although not scientifically verified, regardless of the high density of discoverable sites.

There have been discussions that ley lines were allocated pathways leading to sites of ancient ceremonies.

But what about paranormal activity?

It is believed that the energy, conjured by way of historical rituals held at locations within these ley lines, remains trapped inside the very infrastructure of those ley lines today.

And what we do know about spirits is that the like to use energy.

Ley lines could act as a magnet to the spirit realm as they seek to utilize that energy in order to manifest themselves.

Most certainly a fascinating topic.
