As promised please find below my Saturday Night Scares movie recommendation and review.

PARANORMAL ENTITY (2009)

This American supernatural horror was the perfect ending to my week. However it is not for everyone. This is a fictional movie which truly gives one an appreciation for families who are genuinely experiencing paranormal phenomena within their homes.

Movie opening 'Thomas Finley was arrested for the rape and murder of his 19 year old sister, Samantha Finley. He was also charged with the murder of Edgar Lauren, a paranormal investigator. Thomas claimed that the victims were attacked by a demonic entity of unknown origin'.

Things get pretty sinister when the family attempt contacting the spirit of their deceased father. But just what did they conjure?

If you have enjoyed the Paranormal Activity movies you will enjoy this film. A sign of a good movie is when you have to ask yourself 'is this real or fictional?' And even more exciting is that there are three sequels!

Directed by Shane Van Dyke this lower budget production instantly garnered high acclaim and immediate followings due to its 'real life' atmospheric and documentary style cinematography. I truly enjoy 'found footage' and 'actual surveillance' scenarios so this was perfect viewing.

Dark, gritty with some truly heartstopping moments.
