The Albert Dock in Liverpool is a magnificent original Docklands now refurbished with state of the art restaurants, boutiques and historical artefacts. Steeped in history there is an abundance of material from original dockers who once worked aboard the incoming ships here. 

Due to the age of the docklands and its rich past, the site is believed to be haunted by multiple spirits who are still witnessed today.

Many reported seeing an old man 'jay walking' along the road who completely vanishes when you approach to warn him of the danger.

Also the docks The Pumphouse Pub is believed to be actively haunted by an old beer pump attendant who swore in life that he would never leave the place not even after death.

Most notable are the many sightings of a huge Titanic like ghost liner pulling into the Docks. One staff member claiming 'I was always terrified of working at the North Sea Gladstone Dock because my colleagues had seen the ghost liner more than once and were terrified.

The Titanic was registered in Liverpool under its managing company White Star Line. The Albert Docks are home to the Merseyside Maritime Museum and here you can soak up the history of Titanic at the museums 'Titanic and Liverpool - The Untold Story' programme. Many believe the sighting of the ghost liner to be a 'time slip' in motion.

During the 1960s, one worker was driving into work when as he approached the docks he claimed the road in front of him began to alter shape and move, however some claim it may have just been night rats on the tarmac whilst others claim this to be another active 'timeslip'.

TIME SLIP - The occurrence of a dislocation in the flow of time. A slip between time periods bringing together different points in time. Events in one specific era may be perceived in another period.

Perhaps the eeriest happening was when one of the workers was sandblasting a cellar wall and he saw a pair of arms actually come out of the wall towards him then disappear! There are original 'slave chains' still hanging from the brickwork. 

If you are ever in England it would be well worth your time visiting the Albert Dock and I can personally highly recommend it, having visited many times.
