The Boarding School Ghosts | Little Orphan Spirits Still Enjoy Playing At Jesse Lee Site | Seward Alaska | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

If ghosts haunt a building, but then that building is destroyed, do you believe those spirits are capable of continuing to haunt that place?

I know what I think, but i'm interested to hear what you think. Please share your thoughts in the comments below and read on to discover one such place.

Seward is a charming coastal town on the Kenai Peninsula.

The Jesse Lee Boarding Home, in Seward Alaska, opened as boarding school in 1926 and was home to hundreds of orphans. Most of the residents were children from surrounding Aleutian Islands and Seward Peninsula who had been hit hard with the deadly Spanish flu pandemic. Many parents had died leaving the children alone.

The establishment was run by the United Methodist Church who ran two similar institutions at other various locations.

In 1964 the home suffered extensive damages by way of an earthquake and tragically many children were killed. It is alleged that these child spirits actively haunt the site today, residually clinging to the last place they called home.

The home did reopen after the war but much of the complex was severely affected. Despite fundraising, the home is now derelict and was part demolished in 2020.

However, the hauntings remained.

Locals walking at night, and families who would pass by, started noticing some really strange paranormal activity surrounding the site today.

Phenomena includes creepy sounds of giggling children, the audible noises of bouncing balls and the whipping of jump ropes.

These children are still lingering here.

Many have reported apparitions of figures made of pure light which are speculated as being angels who have come to guide the children into the next life.

This site is so active that it is named 'the most haunted location in Alaska' with many refusing to even walk by it after darkness falls.

But be our guest.
