The Ghosts at Pittock Mansion | Portland | Oregon | Haunted | Historical | IdaHaunts | BoiCGH

This stunning 23-room French/Italian renaissance styled mansion, built by Mr and Mrs Pittock (Henry and Giorgiana) in 1914 is rumoured to be actively haunted by the couple.

Henry Pittock was a London born publisher who relocated to the States.

The pair lived in this decadent home until their deaths in 1918 but it is believed they never truly departed! And both spirits have been seen here on multiple occasions.

Visitors report an intermittent dense fragrance of roses, whilst others say a particular art piece appears in different rooms.

Some have witnessed objects moving, light anomalies and shadowy apparitions walking the surrounding lawn areas, one of which is said to be the ghost of the former gardener.

The spirit of Giorgiana is usually spotted in the basement quarters and is said to appear to anyone who needs comforting or going through trauma.

Henrys spirit is often seen sat in lounge chair, feet up, non chalantly reading his newspaper!

The house is open to the public as a historical museum and is supported by general admissions. Walking and/or self guided/guided tours are also available.

Their website provides a free online virtual tour if thats yoir preference. Either way why not visit this fantastic Oregon landmark !
