The Grey Lady At Yachat Cliffs | Oregon Coast Ghosts | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | Oregon | BoiCGH

A historic port city hiding dark secrets beneath its very streets, oceanside communities rumored filled with dead spectating the living.

Welcome to Yachats town where it is said ‘the night brings in the spirits’.

This small coastal village is located between Newport and Florence near the Roosevelt Memorial Highway (now Highway 101) and listed in the top 10 United States ‘Upcoming Tourist Destinations’.

The town is a popular vacation spot comprising of shops, restaurants and even has its very own brewery.

The first Post Office was established in 1892 and was first named as Ocean View, later renamed as Yachats during 1917.

During construction of many of the earlier buildings such as the Heceta Head Lighthouse, which now operates as a thriving Bed and Breakfast, workers unearthed skeletal remains from the foundations.

It is suggested that these magnificent coastal cliffs were first constructed by tribal people who sought protection against the grisly bears and coastal onslaught.

The sighting of a strange phantom like bear entity which exudes an almost mystical presence of ‘wisdom and protection’ has been encountered in these very hills.

Visitors often report shadow figures, apparitions and otherworldly sounds coming from the night skies.

The apparitions of two further females, rumored to be the spirits of a lighthouse keepers wife, known as the Grey Lady, and her young daughter, have been sighted here.

One night whilst exploring the cliffs, the daughter ventured out too far and fell to her death. Heartbroken at losing her child, the mother also jumped from the very same cliff.

These ladies were buried here and are said to residually haunt the coastline today.

Perhaps the most unusual phenomena experienced here is the sighting of a strange phantom like animal/bear entity which exudes an almost mystical presence of ‘wisdom and protection’ has been encountered in these very hills.

A stunning location if ever you visit Oregon Coast by sure to stop by.
