Carl Road, located in the Willamette Valley of Woodburn Oregon, is lined with orchards and rich historic forests.

The surrounding land was primarily inhabited by the Kalapuya tribes.

However during 1848, following the provisional Oregons Government establishment of land claims, the United States annexed most of the pacific North West including Woodburn as Oregon.  

During 1863 George Settlemeyer established the Woodburn Nursery Company, the Oregon and California railroads.

Initially the town was known as Halsey and was later renamed Woodburn.

This location is rumored to be actively haunted by spirits from its past.

Unexplained gusts of wind and sudden drops in temperature during hot nights, along with audible disembodied cries have all been encountered here.

Many driving Carl road report being overcome by an uneasy anxious feeling, describing sighting ghostly specters watching from the darkness, peering out from behind trees and orchards. 

Hundreds of pedestrians have told how these entities appear to mimic the movements of visitors, matching their footsteps, watching the living.

Others have been actively pushed and physically grabbed at.

Could these be the territorial spirits of the Kalapuya tribes?
