The Lafayette Ghosts at Lafayette Pioneer Cemetery & Argyle Winery | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | Oregon | America | BoiCGH

The Lafayette Pioneer Cemetery in Oregon is believed to be haunted by two lady spirits, namely, Anna Marple and Lena Elsie Imus.

Richard Marple (Annas son) was tried and hung for murder in 1887. Many say that Anna was also involved in the crime yet she was never implicated.

Anna was known to be a practicing witch! At her sons hanging she screamed out 'cursed be this town and may it go up in flames' and sure enough, not long after, it did!

Locals believe Anna still roams the fields at night where her son died and often distressing cries are heard.

Not far from the cemetery is Argyle Winery previously home of Lena Elsie Imus who ended her life by injesting carbolic acid. Many state that Elsie haunts the property and staff have witnessed her apparition multiple times.

One evening there was a wine tasting event held here and many claim they saw Lenas spirit lingering at the back of the crowd just watching.

Many times there have been visitors reporting audible unexplained footsteps heard and a strong scent of roses is often detected.

The Winery named a wine blends in Lenas honour! Namely 'SPIRITHOUSE PINOT' and 'SPIRITHOUSE CHARDONNAY'.

Why not visit the winery and see if you experience any other 'spirits'.
