The Phantoms of Howells Opera House | Oakley Idaho | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | IdaHaunts | BoiCGH

Howells Opera House in Oakley, Cassia County in Idaho was erected in 1910 using locally sourced stone. Structural completion of the property amounted to $22,000.

The building is believed to be actively haunted by multiple ghosts. One being a lady who once lived in the area. People have witnessed her full body apparition appear during rehearsals and live productions.

Although no negative feelings were experienced, staff and actors describe 'a sinister feeling of being watched' on many occasions.

It is said that the ghost of B. P. Howell himself (whom the building is named after) haunts the premises.

Oakley is also known for its legend of the Hairy Bigfoot of Birch Creek Canyon.

Truth or folklore?

What are some of your favourite Idaho locations?
