An unassuming country road in hills of Otoe County Nebraska...or is it?

This road has a dark and terrifying past and is rumoured to be haunted by the spirits of those allegedly murdered here. It is said that during the late 1800s/early 1900s, a family were travelling this road when the father became angry at his children. He killed all seven of his beautiful daughters, hanging their bodies from nearby trees. 

There is another version of this story which states that it was not a father, but an evil man who lived on a local farm here who had seven sisters. One night after a heated argument with his parents, he forced each of his sisters outside to the hills where he murdered them in cold blood.

It is said that authorities concealed the crimes so as to not frighten local communities who frequently travelled this route. The fact that there is no official evidence on this crime, yet there are hundreds of unexplained paranormal sightings reported from here, is in itself disturbing.

To initially establish this road, a row of trees had to be removed. Could these have been the hanging trees where the sisters' fate was sealed?

Reports include piercing screams, said to be the seven screaming sisters, demonic red eyes, vehicle headlight and engine failure, invisible forces knocking on car windows and dark shadows literally walking out across the road. 

Many drivers report seeing full body apparitions through rear view mirrors which disappear as they approach, leaving many drivers terrified. Paranormal investigators claim they recorded clear EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings which chilled them to the bone as they heard disembodied voices say 'we're here' and 'help'. 

Are these hills haunted by the mourning spirits of the seven sisters? Some forces don't ever stop, no matter how many trees you chop down, or alterations you make.
