The Spirits of Yorktown Memorial Hospital | Yorktown, TX | Haunted History | Nuns | Demonic Entity | Paranormal | BoiCGH
In 1951 the doors opened to the Yorktown Memorial Hospital. The Texas hospital was ran by the Felician Sisters of the Roman Catholic Church. Yorktown Memorial was in operation from 1951 until closing it's doors in 1986. It reopened briefly as a drug rehabilitation center but closed it's doors for good in 1988.
The hospital was comprised of a chapel, two wings as well as a basement. During it's functional years it is estimated that 1600 deaths occurred within it's walls.
Through the years there have been many accounts of paranormal activity at Yorktown. It is said that a demon haunts the chapel of the building. There have been reports of music being played on the organ. Others have sensed dark forces watching their every move.
Throughout the building there are accounts of visitors being slapped, kicked and scratched by things that are unseen. Many have seen shadowy figures and heard screams echoing through the halls.
There is a presence in the building that is referred to as T.J. Some believe T.J. is a man who died of a heroin overdose in the hospital.
The Yorktown Memorial Hospital does offer tours. The building may be abandoned but it appears to be far from empty.
