Suicide Bridge in Pasadena, also known as the Colorado Street Bridge, is believed to be haunted by souls who have jumped to their deaths here. This bridge is cursed in tragedy with a very dark history.

Built in 1912 by Waddell & Harrington architects. The structure connects Pasadena to Eagle Rock and spans an impressive 1,486ft length and towers over 150ft high.

The bridge was aptly named 'Suicide Bridge' due to continual reports of people jumping to their deaths here.

The bridge has featured in many movies including Charlie Chaplins 'The Kid' filmed in 1919 and also in an episode of Fear Factor showcasing a trapeze stunt called the 'Bridge Hang'. Singer Lana del Ray filmed here music video 'Born to Die' here. Finally the bridge featured in romantic movie La La Land which featured Ryan Gosling.

In 1913 a mother holding her child went onto the bridge, she threw her child first and then she herself jumped. Reports state that the child survived, landing in a tree, yet the mother did not survive.

In 2015 British actor and model Samuel Sarpong who had modelled for Tommy Hilfiger advertisements ended his life here. In 2016 authorities installed 10 foot chainlink fencing (anti-suicide barriers) as a deterrent to suicide yet the death toll continued to rise. 

Vehicles have been known to swerve lanes as they try to avoid what they describe as the ghost of a woman who crosses the bridge. There have been collisions due to this.

Also witnessed are the ghostly apparitions of a young girl in a long dress with a man wearing dark rimmed glasses who both stand on top of the side railings with their arms outstretched and jump, disappearing as they fall.

Authorities are constantly being called out the bridge only to find no physical evidence as many drivers believe these suicides to be happening in 'real' time, not realising this may be manifestations/paranormal phenomena of individuals who previously taken their lives here. 

2017 saw nine lives lost at the bridge, followed by a further four in 2018. It is believed that the actual number of deaths here is much higher than publicised. The death toll continues to rise and so does the paranormal activity.

The bridge is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was registered as a National Civil Landmark.
