Villisca house is the site of much unexplained paranormal activity. This once quiet and happy Iowa home is believed to be actively haunted by restless spirits of its sinister past. This comes as no surprise when we discovered its tragic past.

The small town of Villisca was forever changed by extremely sinister events.

On June 10th in 1912 the entire Moore family was murdered here in cold blood by a crazed axe murderer.

Josiah and Sarah Moore along with their beloved four children and even two of their childrens friends who slept over that night all met their end. So many precious lives taken all too prematurely.

The crime remains unsolved and much of the home is preserved exactly as it was. 

Paranormal investigators state the home is known for its interactive spirits and reliable consistency in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recordings. Very often intense cold spots are felt and childrens playful footsteps heard as if still running about.

One investigator claims the spirits of the deceased children will readily turn flashlights on and off on command!

It is said that a night here will convince even the sturdiest skeptic that ghosts are real!

It is often said that if a soul is taken too soon or under violent circumstance that the spirit will remain, wandering, lost and unhappy.
