A Cowboy and A Prostitute Paranormal Lovers Break Realms at The Glen Tavern Inn | Santa Paula California | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

California, the Golden State, is just brimming with tales of the unexplained.

The Glen Tavern Inn, Santa Paula California, is considered by many to be a national historic treasure.

Built in 1911 when Santa Paula was a booming oil town, this inn has a truly authentic presence offering 35 rooms. Although now modernised, the inn remains true to its Wild West heritage.

This place has a fantastic history and its third floor once housed a speakeasy/gambling parlour and brothel during the prohibition. Santa Paula was a favoured Hollywood filming location during the 1930s and many celebrities and elite persons would socialise here in secret during the Prohibition.

Notable persons who favoured this inn are namely actors Steve McQueen, Carol Lombard and John Wayne.

During renovation work, construction crews discovered a cowboy hat covered with bullet holes and bloodstains and would witness ominous creepy white mists floating amidst the site. A foreman reported hearing guttural chilling voices that he considered ‘not of this world’.

But did you know that this English Tudor styled inn is believed to be actively haunted by the ghosts of two people who were originally believed to be lovers?

Staff continuously report witnessing full spectrum apparitions peering around corners, particularly at Room 308. Visitors have claimed to watching ghost like children playing nonchalantly amongst corridors, not dissimilar to timeslip phenomena.

Belongings will often mysteriously go missing, for days even weeks, before being returned to their original place.

It is speculated that a spirit by the name of Calvin haunts the third floor. Calvin was allegedly a local rancher who frequented the bar in days gone by. Calvin was a known game cheat and one night after he deceived many during a card game, he was shot at point blank range.

Calvins favourite room now runs as Room 308. Does this explain the paranormal activity mentioned around this room above?

Rose, a lady who worked in the original brothel, was Calvins favourite lady. He wanted her and nobody else. The other ladies became jealous as Calvin was a handsome and vibrant cowboy. There were rumours that Rose was murdered here.

Maybe the phenomena experienced at the inn today is the result of timeless lovers breaking supernatural realms as they manifest.

Maybe Calvin got to keep his girl after all, forever.

Just be sure to keep an eye on your belongings as this duo are known to get mischievous!

If you are not ready to encounter full spectrum apparitions, do not come here.
