American Victory Against British Troops | Residual Battlefield Haunting At Cowpens National Battlefield Park | Cherokee County South Carolina | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Cowpens National Battlefield is located off the Chesnee Highway, Cherokee County, South Carolina.

Historically, prior to the American Revolution, this vast park expanse was the site of a National battlefield, firmly marking American reclamation of South Carolina.

These fields were originally used for cattle grazing prior to the American Revolutionary War.

The Battle of Cowpens transpired January 17th, 1781. United States Forces served under the command of Brigadier General Daniel Morgan, clashed with British Forces under Leiutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton in a campaign to claim the Carolinas.

Only 25 out of 2000 of Brigadier Morgans troops were killed, who went on to almost completely eliminate British troops, killing over 120, 229 wounded and 629 captured.

In 1929 congress established a 1.5 acre park which was redeveloped and designated as public park grounds named Cowpens National Battlefield.

Many who fell in battle were laid to rest here and is rumored that those spirits haunt the park today.

Cowpens National Battlefield has a reputation for its extreme paranormal activity.

Chillingly, mysterious spirits are often encountered by visitors today.

Phenomena includes disembodied crying sounds, the phantom smell of gunpowder and echoes of piercing screams emanating from the original battlefield.

The site also houses a museum and visitors have witnessed doors opening and closing, along with physical run ins with cloudy transparent figures.

On clear nights, at the midnight hour, many describe witnessing the very loud audible phantom sounds of canon fire and gun shot residually resonating the airwaves.

Paranormal investigators have stated capturing extreme EMF (electromagnetic field) fluctuation readings and disturbing EVPs (electronic voice phenomena).

Could visitors today actually be witnessing a residual re enactment of a truly noble American victory?

A wonderful historically vital location.
