An Overwhelming Sense Of Evil Where Darkness Lingers | The Pioche Hauntings | Lincoln County, Nevada | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

North East of Las Vegas is Lincoln County, Nevada, home to Pioche, the old unincorporated Western town timelessly cloaked in darkness.

And sometimes, darkness never fades.

April 1864 Meadow Valley mining district was established in Pioche, agricultural communities flourished, yet many settlers fled the area following violent raids by unknown tribes and saloon shoot outs.

Much blood was shed and many lives lost.

Economy halted and, in 1869, Francois Luis Alfred Pioche purchased the land and named it Pioche town which became one of Americas most significant silver and ore mining towns and the States largest producer of zinc and silver.

Mining is no longer a trade here, yet the mines still stand, many with their original ore buckets on site, a ghostly reminder of days gone by.

Workers who died in those mines, along with the towns former residents and victims of the towns unsettled past, are believed to haunt Pioche today.

Sighted throughout Pioche are mysterious forms, shadow entities and apparitions which often will linger dangerously close to the living.

Have you ever come face to face with something not of this world?

An apparition? A shadow figure? Something demonic?

If you have, I would like to hear how that experience impacted you, in the comment section below.

The infamous Boot Hill Cemetery, which houses the famous ‘Murderers Row’, is not too far from this location and acts as Pioches’ primary burial ground.

Strange lights floating above graves, ghostly little children, and even phantom spectral dogs, are often seen unassumingly playing in the streets surrounding this area.

The original Pioche County Courthouse, which now operates as the Pioche Museum, is speculated to be extremely haunted.

Staff have described an ‘overwhelming sense of evil’ and female visitors have been specifically subjected to threatening growls, hisses and unexplained scratch marks.

Perhaps the hostile spirits of those past imprisoned lashing out today?

Always fascinating to consider how, although the face or structure of a town or city may change, its history will never be altered. And more fascinating still, we are making history this very day.
