Vaile Mansion, located in the City of Independence Missouri, was built in 1881 by Colonel Harvey Vaile for himself and his wife and is known as 'Missouris most haunted Victorian treasure'.

This intimidating abode has doesn't just look creepy, but has been described as 'completely terrifying' and once operated as an insane asylum.

Throughout the years hundreds of individuals have reported some truly disturbing encounters whilst here, including full spectrum apparitions violently raging and foaming at the mouth and ghostly wheelchairs seen manifesting from nowhere.

An abrupt reminder of the homes asylum history.

The spirits of Mr and Mrs Vaile are often sighted here, Mr Vaile sits casually in the homes parlour whilst Mrs Vaile is seen, dressed in white, lingering in the shadows often accompanied by audible otherworldly voices.

It is believed that the spirits of the Vailes are literally 'the creaking of the floorboards, the whisper in your ear and the chill down your spine'.

Could this unexplainable activity be a resounding echo of this homes dark past?
