Can You Hear The Laughing Spirits At The Historic Plaza Hotel | Las Vegas New Mexico | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Historic Plaza Hotel, in Las Vegas New Mexico, was built in 1882 and has a wonderful view overlooking the historic Las Vegas Plaza.

This hotel was featured in two notable movies, ‘Easy Rider’ (1969) an independent road drama film starring Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson and ‘No Country For Old Men’ (2007) a Western thriller starring Tommy Lee Jones.

The hotel was originally owned by the esteemed Sir Byron T. Mills and is today believed haunted by Mills himself.

Staff and guests have reported a varied range of paranormal phenomena including unexplained creepy laughter at night and a dark ominous shadow figure which manifests in Sir Byrons old office, where a portrait of him still hangs from the wall.

Is this shadow figure Byron T Mills himself? Is he actively haunting the hotel today?

Residual hauntings are known to linger where they were emotionally attached in life, or where trauma was suffered. The spirit will struggle to detach from that location. Maybe this explains the shadow figure in the office, seeing as Byron loved the hotel so much in life.

If you would like stay in Sir Byrons room just enquire about room 310 which is located on the hotels third floor.

Other strange happenings encountered here are desk drawers flying open and closed and phantom cigar smoke wafting through the hallways.

One guest quoted “this place is totally haunted” and another visitor claimed their wardrobe doors would spontaneously burst wide open with no apparent reasoning.

Halloween is coming and this would certainly make for an intriguing night!
