Emergency Call Outs for Car Crash Ghost at The Poinsett Bridge | Greenville | South Carolina | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Poinsett Bridge in Greenville, Carolina, also known as the Arch Bridge, holds a place on the States 'Top 10 Haunted Landmarks'. Structurally beautiful the bridge showcases a tall gothic style archway and is popular with photographers.

Named after Joel Poinsett, previous resident and Ambassador, the bridge is currently owned by South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

Erected in 1820 this is the oldest surviving bridge in the State and is believed to be haunted by the spirit of a man who was killed in an automobile collision during the 1950s.

Many have reported sighting the full spectrum apparition of the ghostly car crash victim frequenting the bridge after dark wearing a bloodied white shirt with visible head injuries.

This phenomena is so real that there have been many individuals who, unaware that the scene is paranormal in nature, have alerted authorities to attend. However, residual hauntings are, of course, unpredictable and do not remain at a location for prolonged periods but rather will intermittently manifest.

Mysterious floating light anomalies and frightening disembodied voices are also experienced here with reports of further entities. One appears as an old mason worker, also a rail road worker and a slave who appears to be restrained. The bridge originally connected Charleston and Columbia with Carolina Mountain communities of Tennessee.

Could these be the spirits of bygone workers who originally travelled these roads?

Have you ever crossed the Poinsett Bridge?
