Centurion Of Shame | Visitors Run In Terror From Apparitions | Fort Vancouver National Historic Site | Vancouver Washington | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is located near the banks of the Colombia River in Vancouver, Washington.

This fort was originally established as a headquarters in 1825, by the Hudson Bay Trading Company, as a fur trading post.

In 1829 a small village formed to its West, evolving into Vancouvers very first neighbourhood.

In 1866 the fort tragically succumbed to a raging fire, losing its footprint until archeologists rediscovered it in 1947. Shortly after, the site was designated a national monument and historical landmark.

A full scale replica was erected and now stands in its place, which is open to visitors today.

However, this location is known to be ‘supernaturally infested’.

There have been visitors actually ‘flee in terror’ being in complete shock of literally running into full spectrum apparitions amidst the educational displays and artefacts.

Replica telephones, which are not connected to any power source, have been known to audibly ring out loud, much to the shock of onlookers.

Mysterious mists, shadow figures and disembodied footsteps have all been encountered within the building today.

Officials have reported objects moving unaided accompanied by the sighting of a ghostly Centurion. This Centurion was, in life, known as Private Goodwine who imprisoned for a military offence.

Upon his release from confinement, feeling overcome with the shame of his crime, Goodwine shot and killed himself. He is believed to linger here in spirit today.

Could this Centurion still be protecting the fort he was honorably bound to in life?

Or is he still seeking pardon for his offence?

A fascinating location.
