Entities In The Kill Tunnels | The Paris Catacombs | Paris France | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | BoiCGH

It's ok to venture down a tunnel if you know your way out right?

But what if that tunnel was part of a larger infrastructure and you became trapped?

The Paris Catacombs can literally take your breath away.

Rows of human bone skulls literally line miles and miles of its structure, walls constructed of limb bones.

The Catacombs are an enormous maze, a vast network comprising of over seven levels, spreading underneath the entire city.

The tunnel network was originally created by Alexandre Lenoir and Thiroux de Crosne who brainstormed the idea of providing a concealed area in which to store bones of the deceased.

It was said the two saw the project as an intricate and historical work of art as they designed the tunnels fluidity.

The catacombs of Paris are world renowned for their unexplained phenomena and alleged hauntings, which comes as no surprise seeing as this location is essentially a mass grave holding the remains of over six million people.

The Parisian communities have long buried their loved ones in underground chambers, where they remain today.

Also buried here are thousands of victims of deadly plagues which swept through France along with those who innocently ventured down here and tragically lost their way.

Are those souls now lost to an eternity?

Of course today those tunnels are open for public visitation with safe and controlled boundaries. You won't become lost.

During the 1800s local cemeteries literally overflowed with bodies claimed by the plagues, so authorities demanded the Catacombs catered to the literal overspill and those bodies now rest here.

Archaeologists are still to this very day attempting to determine just how deep these tunnels reach.

In 1871 French Revolutionaries massacred a group of monarchists in one of the underground chambers and the site became known as The Kill Tunnels.

Restless souls are often seen to manifest within these tunnels, and many who venture within them, never return a second time.

It is believed there are some truly dark malevolent forces lingering at this location.

Could these spirits be seeking revenge for their merciless ending?

Others have speculated that demons reside down here, as very often audible sinister growlings have been captured via audio recordings.

This is the most haunted location in all of Paris, with mysterious light formations, fast moving shadows and desperate piercing screams all being encountered.
