Quote from Angela on March 11, 2020, 1:51 pmFarragut State Park, has been named 'the most haunted outdoor recreational location in all of Idaho'.
Let's find out why....
In the mid 1940s many sailors were trained at Farragut State Park. The park was also used as a fort-like defence from the Germans.
Now a popular park and campsite venue, named 'The Brig' has many reports of hauntings, ghosts and more. There have been actual sightings of the mysterious sasquatch reported.
One couple who were camping nearby claim they heard a wild animal outside their tent but when they went to investigate and shone a flashlight it was not an animal they knew of but a tall grizzly beast which they believed was Bigfoot himself!
Idyllic by daylight, yet once darkness falls, things become somewhat different!
It is said the grounds are haunted by many lost spirits and many have witnessed a full bodied apparition of a sailor walking the shoreline at dusk dressed in complete World War II uniform.
The park once housed an on site jail house for non compliant recruits and many visitors claim to hearing sounds of heavy metal clanking and chains being dragged.
Another guest says she witnessed pale ghost-like faces peering out from between the cell bars.
A German soldier was once captured and murdered within these walls, and some have heard distant cries and echoing screams.
There are commissioned stone memorial faces of soldiers which some staff have actually seen move, shocked to have seen their eyes and mouth contort as if trying to speak from their graves.
In addition to these statements, we also discovered that there have been various reports of people catching actual live drone footage of legendary sasquatch BIGFOOT! which leads us to consider that maybe this is more than just folklore.
Not for the faint hearted, but well worth a visit. Dare you spend a night under the stars at Farragut State Park?
Just be willing to accept that you may not be alone!
