Finding Paradise | Ada County Trails of Wonder | Adelmann Mine Trailhead Leads to Historical Wonder | Boise, Idaho | Historical | BoiCGH

Did you know that there is a magnificent hiking trail in Southern Idaho which leads to a truly amazing historical wonder?

The Adelmann Mine Hiking Trailhead located in Southern Idahos Ada County, not too far from Boise, may initially appear as just another hiking trail. But don't be fooled as this trail leads to a truly historical wonder, an abandoned historical gold mine with paths revealing wonderful scenic havens.

Mining here dates back to 1903 when the site yielded pyrite, quartz, silver and gold.

Current advice would be to begin at the gate to the Boise River Wildlife area near highway 21. The first two miles is slightly uphill, however the rewards upon completing this phase far outweigh any challenges. 

Forestry, wildflowers, wildlife with scenery which flourishes the higher you climb. You will be presented with various directional options including the road to Lucky Peak.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Boise State Bird Observatory. Enjoy discovering the historical Adelmann mining trail!

It has been said by some that reaching the end of this trail feels like 'finding paradise'.
