Haunted by Heroes The Snake River Heritage Centre | Weiser, Idaho | Paranormal | Historical | IdaHaunts | America | BoiCGH

We are pleased to add this great location to our haunted heritage IdaHaunts section.

Forget jump scares and simulated haunts. Whether its haunted history, urban legend or actual locations where full spectrum apparitions are nothing out of the ordinary, we promise you, Idaho has it.

The Snake River Heritage Centre (SRHC), also known as the Weiser Museum, is located at Hooker Hall at the Intermountain Institute, Weiser, Idaho. This establishment is believed to be actively haunted.

As we all know, history will ALWAYS have a story to tell.

This facility originally operated as a school campus facilitating students from over eight states. The site appealed to many upcoming students as the curriculum was significantly advanced in the studies of Humanities, Literature, Music and Arts.

The campus originally comprised three separate buildings, one being an institute for the treatment of the mentally ill. Many died here.

Hooker Hall comprises four floors and there is a 240 seat capacity auditorium. There have been countless reports of unexplained paranormal phenomena from all three buildings including dark flitting shadow figures, mysterious light anomalies and feelings of sudden nausea.

It has been suggested that this phenomena may be the spirits of those institutionalised patients who died there, residually haunting the site today.

Is it possible that some spirits encounter difficulties passing over to the other side?

What do you think? We would love to get interactive so please share your thoughts below in the comment section.

Snake River Heritage Centre will absolutely give you goosebumps.

But what we really want to know is who, or what, is haunting these historical dorms.

Have you been here?

Many believe this museum to be haunted by the heroes of yesteryear. Here you will see wonderful exhibits of the true local heroes who ran our automotive and irrigation systems. Also miners and agricultural farmers.

Could those local heroes still be lingering here in spirit today? You may want to check behind you as you ascend each flight of stairs just in case.

History never truly dies.

Please visit the website to view any upcoming special events.
