Haunted Opera House | McConnelsville Ohio | Paranormal | Historical | Hauntings | America | BoiCGH

Just along the Muskingum River in Ohio is the village of McConnelsville. Back in 1817 the first settlers here named it the Old Town.  In 1886 the towns  largest manufacturer was George P. Hann who made fine cigars.

McConnelsville and Malta are located just opposite each other and known as the Twin Cities. 

Twin City opera house was the actual location setting for the  movie The Shawshank Redemption.

Twin City Opera Opera House is said to be haunted by many spirits. Productions managers have reported the wall sconces on the theatre walls will often spontaneously power up to full beam and then lower to minimal light. Much mischief and activity is said to take place in the movie room up near the higher level balcony.

Could this be the spirit of Victoria? She was a singer who had an affair with a stagehand called Robert. However the man was already married, yet they went on to have a child together. Apparently the spirit of Victoria is very mischievous and when performers are on stage they often report witnessing her playful voice and giggling.

One man says he saw a full body apparition of a young woman disappear behind a stage curtain. He described her as a 'shimmer'.

The spirit of Robert, the married man we mentioned, has been seen with his daughter Elizabeth. Could this have been the childs voice captured on EVP saying 'i forgive'?

One staff member reports that Robert is known to manifest and charge at people leaving people terrified. It has been suggested that he somehow taps into your emotions, sense your fears and brings about heightened emotion and sorrow.

The basement is supposedly haunted with an extremely negative energy.
