There have been many reports of paranormal activity from those who have stayed at the Lava Hot Springs Inn, Hot Springs Idaho.

Built in 1924, by Shoshone Indians who believed the surrounding minerals held miraculous healing properties.

The Inn was originally a sanatorium and hospital and the minerals were used to treat injured American soldiers who had fallen prey to the devastating effects of mustard gas during World War I.

Current owner George Katsilometes states that there are certain mineral compounds found within the hot springs. It is suggested that these mineral properties may harness spiritual powers known to attract outside entities.

The venue is a firm favourite with paranormal investigators and enthusiasts alike due to its continual unexplained phenomena.

Literally hundreds of people died here, so it comes as no surprise to hear reports of mysterious activity.

There have been many EVP voices recorded here crying out, one person actually saw a full body apparition walk from one end of a room to the other. The restless spirit of an old patient is believed to reside within the old operating theatre.

Many have witnessed dark shadowy figures, with one guest in particular claiming he was held down by a powerful yet invisible force. The maintenance manager believes the property is haunted by five different active ghosts.

Room 13, the original anaesthesia room is said to be home to a female ghost named Martha who died on the operating table and many have heard cries come from that specific area at night.

We think you will agree the Lava Hot Spring Inn is amongst one of the most active locations we have reported on to date.
