Downtown Oregon is known for its paranormal activity.

Many storekeepers have told of how they frequently experience the mysterious and unexplained.

The Oregon City Municipal Elevator is located in the historic downtown area of Oregon City.

This is just one of four such elevators in the whole world.

But there is something unique about this one, as it is said to be actively haunted by two entities.

One is the spirit of little red haired boy and the other is a gentleman who actually died near the base of the elevator. He was driving a logging truck when the brakes failed.

Horrifically his vehicle was headed straight towards the elevator entrance.

Heroically, in order to avoid the crowds and families who were exiting the elevators building, he swerved his truck which fatally crashed and he died at the scene.

He gave his life to save the lives of others.

Another American hero.

Many have reported sighting the ghostly little red haired boy about the local stores and establishments.

It is suggested that many spirits do not realise their fate and are unaware of their passing, especially children.

Sometimes death occurs so fast, unexpectedly.

I don’t know what is more distressing, the fact they died, or their obliviousness to it.
