Did you know that you can stay in a real haunted hotel amidst the Santa Cruz mountains in California?. With Halloween fast approaching it is something worth considering. 

The Brookdale Lodge was originally used as a mill during 1870 and later became a meeting place for mob bosses due to its many secret underground rooms.

Today the lodge runs as a modern hotel and has been labelled as 'one of the worlds most actively haunted hotels'.

The spirit of little six year Sarah Logan, who was a guest who died here, haunts the lodge today. Sarah was playing on a balcony when she fell and landed in the pool, where she drowned. 

Guests have reported an apparition of a little girl, twirling in a pretty blue and white dress, up on the very balcony she fell from. The little girl will readily approach the living and ask 'where is my mummy?' before disappearing into thin air. Surely that's got to be distressing for anyone to encounter. 

Maybe this little spirit girl is not yet aware of her fate.

Guests in the restaurant often enquire where the beautiful serene music is coming from whilst they are dining. Staff explain that there are no instruments being played in the restaurant.

Night staff upon locking the doors will often hear clinking glasses.

Could there be active spectres who like like emerge after hours here?

Psychic Sarah Browne stated there are literally dozens of spirits haunting the lodge. One family vowed never to return after their little boy kept saying he had made a new friend, a little girl in a pretty dress. He had encountered Sarah who had drowned, and that was enough to frighten that family away.

Many people come here hoping to catch a glimpse of the paranormal. Current owner, Pravin Patel, promises 'you won't be disappointed'.
