This American National Park, located in the Western Sierra Nevadas of Central California with human habitation of native tribes dating back 3,000 years.

The park spans over four counties and in 1864 Abraham Lincoln signed a bill establishing a Yosemite Park grant to draw in tourism.

The park is rumoured to be haunted by multiple entities, one of which is believed malevolent.

There have been deaths at this park, many have tragically slipped near the parks waterfalls.

Wet conditions or the evil spirit of Po-ho-no?

Local folklore suggests Po-ho-no (meaning puffing wind) to be an evil trickster entity who haunts the location today.

Some have reported the feeling of ‘icy little hands’ felt behind them.

Folklore suggest this phenomena manifests as an ‘evil wind’ which pushes people from ledges whilst admiring caverns and waterfalls.

Many have witnessed unexplained cries coming from the waters and in 1857 a Park Ranger was so disturbed by these cries that he reported it to local authorities.

The nearby Yosemite Hotel is also allegedly haunted. Staff report a spectral figure in the mezzanine area and gests described invisible hands seemingly ‘tucking them into bed at night’. Rooms will appear to be mysteriously rearranged within moments often leaving staff confused.

The Park has been likened to the Bermuda Triangle and holds mysterious all of its own.

Accidents disappearances and deaths continue at this location.
