Phantom Red Eyes At Lafittes Blacksmith Shop And Bar | New Orleans Louisiana | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

New Orleans, City of Ghosts, is steeped in mystery and history!

Lafittes Blacksmith Shop on Bourbon Street, New Orleans is one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter. The venue now operates as a bar and is believed one of New Orleans most haunted locations.

Every night, staff light candles along the whole bar area and many believe that the warm atmospheric glow of the candles attracts spirits to draw near.

The building is rumoured to be haunted by Jean Lafitte, he was an 1800s era pirate. Lafitte owned a goods warehouse here and was involved in smuggling.

Many died at the hands of Lafitte who became known as a local hero during the War of 1812 when he assisted Andrew Jackson defend New Orleans against British invasion.

Lafitte has been known to fully manifest, appearing solid in form just like you and I, wearing a sailors uniform.

I wonder how many of us have witnessed such entities and not realised they were spirit?

Many visitors have thought him to be a staff member dressed in period era clothing.

Can you imagine their surprise upon discovering they encountered an actual spirit apparition?

Others have witnessed a female entity on the second floor of the bar, it is said this lady committed suicide and her spirit is somehow trapped here today. This could be a residual haunting where a spirit is emotionally tied to a specific location possibly due to a traumatic passing.

Staff have heard voices whispering in their ears and swear they sometimes see piercing glowing red eyes peering from the darkest corners of the bar like a phantom watcher in the night.
