Philadelphias Most Haunted Home | The Haunted Chair at Baleroy Mansion | Philadelphia Pennsylvania | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

Pennsylvania is one of Americas most haunted states. And is it any wonder when we consider that it was home to some of the Civil Wars most violent battles! Gettsyburg locations known as the Devils Den and the Slaughter Pen are renowned for their creepy unexplained paranormal activity and spirits are often seen dressed and ready for battle!

The Baleroy Mansion in Philadelphia is a phenomenal 32 room estate located in the affluent residential suburb of Chestnut Hill. This property is hailed as Philadephias most haunted home!

Reported as being 'infested with spirits, jinns, demons and angels', its owner George Meade Easby, great grandson of Gettysburg war hero General Meade, stated that the home is haunted by as many as seven ghosts, one of which is his late younger brother who died.

The family claimed to witnessing family portraits flying from walls, the manifestation of his late brothers spirit visibly walking across rooms, and the apparition of a Victorian era lady holding a walking cane who is seen sat pondering at a window seat in the dining room.

Other entities who appear to be dressed as old housekeepers and cooks have been seen ascending the homes stairs as if unaware of their fate. A priest was summoned to cleanse the home and was hit by a flying item which was thrown at him as if from nowhere.

Were these spirits angered by the intrusion?

Paranormal teams claim they witnessed the sounds of phantom cars pulling up in the driveway, like a residual replay of past visitors to the home. There is a 200 year old velvet chair in one of the bedrooms known as 'the haunted chair' which has now been banned from use as all who sat in this chair have mysteriously and suddenly died!

After doing some research it was discovered the haunted chair was originally owned by none other than Napoleon himself who had it made by an evil warlock. The chair is now believed a cursed item.

The home was once a museum but was purchased by local residents.

THIS IS A PRIVATELY OWNED RESIDENCE AND IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING OR TOURS. ENTRY IS STRICLY PROHIBITED.
