Pioneer Legends and Misty Manifestations Rise Up To Greet The Living | Grand Lake | Grand County, Colorado | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

From timeless towns harboring restless spirits to shores stalked by ghostly manifestations after dark, welcome to Grand Lake, Colorado.

Scout Rock, an overcrop elevation above Jericho Road, was originally used as an outlook for approaching enemies by the indiginous Ute Tribes.

This is the largest, and deepest, natural lake in Colorado with ancient folklore suggesting the lake is actively haunted by pioneer spirits.

This popular aquatic expanse was formed over 30,000 years ago and in 1879 large silver deposits were discovered by local prospector Joe Shipler. Shortly after, European frontiersmen began erecting hunting lodges surrounding the lake perimeter.

Today the lake is a popular tourist destination offering over 350 miles of nature trails, boating activities and swimming holes.

But did you know this location is shrouded in spinetingling tales of the paranormal?

Visitors continually report encounters with misty apparitions, strange forms being captured in photographs and face to face encounters with native spirits of old.

It is alleged that, on stormy nights when the rain hits the surface of the lake, a sinister mist blankets the lake and those ancient spirits will rise up and manifest to greet the living.

But i guess you really have to be there to find out for yourself.
