Prostitute Victims Blast Angry Poltergeist Phenomena | Red Room Murders at S K Pierce Mansion | Gardner Massachusetts | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

In 1880 Sylvester Pierce, entrepreneur and owner of S K Pierce and Sons Furniture Company built a Victorian mansion located in Gardner, Massachusetts. If only they'd known what would become of it.

Erecting this 7000sq ft, ten bedroom mansion required the work of no less than one hundred workmen who hand crafted fixtures and fittings, taking almost two years of painstaking construction. Upon completion it was described as 'an archeological marvel' which included fully fitted live-in servants quarters.

This mansion has entertained notable guests including Hollywood legend Bette Davis, US Presidents and even been used as a Freemasons Society venue.

Pierce lived here himself with his wife and son, sadly his wife died of an illness just weeks after moving in. Twelve months later Pierce remarried a lady named Ellen who was far younger than himself (almost 30 years his junior), whom he had two further children with.

After Ellen passed away all of the children began to argue over the estate ownership. Eventually it was decided that the youngest son Edward would take over the establishment.

The mansion was used as a boarding home and later a hotel, but had gotten a reputation for underground gambling, prostitution, bootlegging and even murder.

There were rumours of a young boy being drowned in the pool, and prostitutes being strangled during time inside the buildings sinister 'red room' where 'business' took place. There are claims that a Finnish girl named Eino Saari was left for dead, discarded like a rag doll in the basement area.

Duct tape, strangulation, and even fire. We can't even begin to comprehend what these women must have endured before taking their last breaths of life. These killings have been described as the 'red room murders'.

Is it any wonder then that we hear so many reports of paranormal phenomena emanating from this house of horrors?

Guests have described this place as 'teaming with activity' and have witness everything from disembodied screaming to furniture and items being angrily physically thrown about the rooms.

Could this be the spirits of the red room manifesting as violent poltergeist phenomena? Angered at their tragic end? It is understandable to see why these spirits choose to wreak havoc at this location.

Other visitors claim to have detected foul odours and dark shadow figures and even physical hands pushing people, some dangerously close to the stairwells!

These entities have been further described by paranormal investigators as 'advanced active spirits', they're not here to play, they want so much to manifest in order to attack that its really pretty scary.

Featured on many well known ghost hunting tv shows, featured in a book called 'Haunted Massachusetts - The Bones in The Basement, this mansion currently holds 'the most haunted house in Massachusetts' title and the 'ninth most haunted house in America'.

Recently purchased by Dark Carnival, the mansion is now open to the public for tours and overnight rental.

Go on, we dare you. But be informed that there is a warning NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR ANYONE WITH A NERVOUS DISPOSITION as it is likely you WILL encounter genuine paranormal activity.

Staff also advise visitors DO NOT ANTAGONISE THE SPIRITS because they WILL react.
