Red Satin Negligees And Motorbike Rides Party Anyone? Lady In Red Still Searching For Adventure | The Ghost Of Alice At The Rosario Resort And Spa | Eastsound Washington | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Evergreen State has some seriously haunted locations from Vancouver to Tacoma and Seattle.

The San Juan Islands are known for wildlife, outdoor sports, adventure and fine cuisine.

But what you won't see advertised in the local guide books are the ghosts.

The Rosario Resort and Spa was built in 1909 by Robert Moran who ran The Moran Company which was a small ship repair business. Robert later sold the property to wealthy business man Donald Rheem.

This hotel is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Donalds wife, Alice Goodfellow Rheem, now known as The Lady In Red seeing as Alice just loved the color red.

Alice has been sighted by way of full spectral manifestation, wearing red fancy dress and matching red stiletto shoes which have been audibly recorded click-clacking across the marble flooring.

Her apparition is usually sighted on the second floor.

Alice was a much loved lady and known to be an eccentric and playful character in life. However, this did not come without its downside, Alice suffered with alcoholism.

Her father was Venezuelan and her mother was British. Alice loved a party and many speculate that Alice is still searching for love and fun.

Very often, Alice would often put on a red satin negligee and catch a ride on a motorbike into town where she would frolic with local men in the taverns and bars.

Very often Alice would cause a scene and be escorted home early.

Visitors today report audibly hearing a female voice cursing out expletives.

The phenomena here is so actively prevalent that many guests swear never to return.

This mansion was Alices home for so many years, little did she know she end up haunting its very foundations.

When Alice couldn't get her own way, it was said she became either angry or playful. So it comes as no surprise to learn that many guests who check in at this venue report faucets gushing on and off, towels and laundry being thrown across rooms and the feeling of icy hands touching necks and grasping shoulders.

Brrrr...

Did anyone else just get goosebumps?
