Stephen Kings Real Room 1408 Ghosts at Haunted Omni Parker House | Boston Massachusetts | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | America | BoiCGH

The Omni Parker House is Americas longest continually operating hotel and is believed to be haunted by the spirit of its founder, amongst other entities. This 161 year old building is jam packed with history.

Founded by Harvey D. Parker in 1855, this exquisite and elegant hotel located in the heart of Boston Massachusetts, has accommodated some truly notable residents. Guests include Charles Dickens, Mohammed Ali, Malcolm X, John F Kennedy.

Icons of Americas golden literacy age such as Emerson, Hawthorne and Longfellow were known to have regularly met here and it was a 'homerun' for baseball legends such as David Ortiz and Babe Ruth who enjoyed dining here.

Many guests have reported misty full body apparitions strolling the hallways, one being a tall bearded gentleman wearing a stovepipe hat, believed to be Harvey Parker and the other being very young ghost like child. One lady even alerted the hotel security she was so frightened.

Could Mr Parker simply be checking that hotel operations are running smoothly at the place he loved so much in life?

It is said that Parker enjoyed a whisky and a cigar and many have experienced the strong aroma of both on the tenth floor annex, his favoured place to relax. Room 1040 is frequently reported to the front desk as the site of unexplainable noises.

The Bellman hear often encounters unexplained light anomalies and even a ghostly victorian era dressed gentleman who asked him "are you enjoying your stay?".

It was right here, in Room 303 located on the hotels third floor, where Stephen King was inspired to pen his novel 1408! The third floor is particularly creepy as visitors explain witnessing phenomena such as elevator doors unexplainably slamming open and shut and the unsettling creaking of an invisible rocking chair.

If you can handle unexplained whispers, ghostly figures, supernatural screaming sounds, and the possibility of being approached by an actual full body apparition, why not book a room here.
