Sweet Sweet Spectres | The Lavender Lady | The McMenamins Grand Lodge | Forest Grove Oregon | Paranormal | Historical | Haunting | Oregon | BoiCGH

McMenamins Grand Lodge is located just off Pacific Avenue, Forest Grove, Oregon.

In 1922 this building opened its doors as a Masonic And Eastern Star Lodge. This home offered shelter to injured and elderly masons and their families.

A smaller building was added called The Childrens College where orphaned masonic children were cared for.

During the Columbus storm of 1962 the building was severely damaged but later renovated.

This historic resort property is now owned by McMenamins Pubs and Breweries and named The Grand Lodge Pub which opened in 2000 offering a spa, movie house and restaurant.

However, this location is said to also be home to countless restless spirits of the past.

Staff often arrange furniture a certain layout for specific events, only to return to the room just moments later to find the whole room has been rearranged. Multiple staff agree this is unexplainable as the room turnover was done whilst the room was empty, and also in an unrealistic and unattainable timeframe.

Many visitors have encountered a spirit known as the Doctor, this very professional looking visitor is dressed in doctors uniform and often enjoys playing tricks on the living by hiding their belongings.

Could this be an human/intelligent haunting of one the old doctors who may have treated injured Masons here?

Also sighted here is a ghost fondly nicknamed The Lavender Lady. This female spectre has shining white hair and smiles kindly at all who pass her by.

Again an intelligent haunting as she seems to interact with todays visitors. Room 232 displays a picture of The Lavender Lady which indicates she was someone notable here.

You will surely know if you encounter this gentle spirit as you will smell an overwhelming scent of sweetest lavender.

Not all spirits are dark and bad, in fact it is said this is sweetest spectre you will ever encounter.
